The Scorpion EXO helmet features a lightweight TCT-Ultra Composite shell that provides superior strength and impact dispersal properties. The CAD-refined aerodynamics result in a streamlined profile and balanced footprint, minimizing lift and turbulence for a smoother, quieter, and more stable ride. The helmet is equipped with the U.S. DOT Certification and ECE 22.06 Safety standard, which requires a wider range of testing than the previous 22.05 certificate.
The helmet's aero-tuned ventilation system includes a large intake vent on the top, forcing cool air in while the exhaust vents maximize the movement of hot air out. The dual-position mouth vent allows for the first position to act as a defroster and the second position to act as a defroster and ventilation, which can be closed from the inside. The KwikWick C moisture-wicking liner fabric keeps the rider cool and dry in warm weather, and warm in cool weather. The KwikFit 3D sculpted cheek pads accommodate most eyeglasses.
The helmet comes with a FREE additional Dark Smoke Everclear fog-free shield. The Scorpion EXO's shield ratchet system pulls the shield securely against the eye port, ensuring a proper seal. The EverClear shield offers state-of-the-art fog-free technology and 95% UV-A & UV-B protection, with a shatter-resistant, anti-scratch hardened coating.
The helmet is versatile, with Comm-Ready speaker pockets allowing for easy installation of a Bluetooth communication system. The tool-less shield removal system makes it easy to change the shield. Optional thinner and thicker cheek pads are available to help optimize the fit (sold separately). Reflective material is incorporated into the cheek pads for increased night-time visibility. The included solid neoprene aero skirt (chin curtain) helps reduce wind noise.
The Scorpion EXO helmet weighs approximately 1,348 grams (2.9 lbs.) in a size medium. The speaker pocket size is 50mm/5mm (round). The helmet features 2-shells and 3 individual EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam layers. The liner kit is easily removable and washable. The helmet comes with a 5-year warranty and is DOT FMVSS No. 218 Certified and ECE 22.06 Certified.
